ACCEPT NO IMITATION

TigerMulch® exceeds the required criteria for children’s play surfaces. The brand is recognised globally as being market leading within the play and landscape industries. It looks great and keeps you and your children safe and clean all year round.

Conforms to standards

TigerMulch® conforms to the British and European standards for children’s play surfaces. You can get copies of the certificates from licensed suppliers. The certificate demonstrates that the product has been tested and can be used as a safer surface in play spaces.

We carried out all fall height tests (BSEN1177) with a sample on “mirror finished” concrete. This provides a worst case scenario giving ourselves and you the assurance you should have when commissioning a safety surface. Many surfaces on the present market have fall height testing however TigerMulch is also tested to BS7188 which covers 5 other criteria, This testing is vital to the protection and longevity of your surface.

See below for the testing results.

Why choose TigerMulch®?

TigerMulch® is made from recycled waste HGV and bus tyres as a shredded material that is then coloured. This process also reduces them from going into land fill sites. Our product is designed in such a way that the reused rubber reduces the need to make synthetic rubber, which is used in traditional bound rubber surfaces known as Wetpour EPDM.

Depending on the nature of the area you require surfacing, there maybe no need for a sub-base, the turf can be removed and the TigerMulch® installed straight onto a weed block membrane. This results in reducing the stone, aggregate and fuel used in creating such an engineered base and also reduces the cost to yourself.

NO EDGES!
In many circumstances TigerMulch® can be installed with no artificial edges. Simply dig a 40-60mm trench into the edge of the excavated area, this allows the new surface to grab into the sub soil, Over the coming months the minor grass root structure will incorporate into the edge of the surface allowing a natural and trip free edge.

Recycle logo

Made from disused HGV and Bus tyres, TigerMulch® has great recycle values. Rather than disposing tyres into landfills or other un environmentally friendly ways, we have thousands of tonnes of tyres shredded, the unwanted elements such as metal are removed and we are left with a clear rubber shred that we use to create our TigerMulch®.

Using TigerMulch® rather than traditional EPDM wet pour also means that less fossil fuels are burned in the making of EPDM granules used so commonly across the world.
